In this special issue, titled "Innovation, Sustainability and Technology " we delve into the forefront of technological advancements and sustainability practices shaping our world. Through a diverse collection of research articles, we explore quantitative and intelligent methods for predicting economic trends, such as birth rate time series, and offer comparative analyses on energy and water efficiency between China and the EU, highlighting the essence of smart living and sustainable development. This issue presents unique insights into the implementation of mathematical models in public health, with a focus on the Albanian case study, and investigates the factors influencing the content and success of Smart City initiatives, particularly through the lens of institutional organization theories. Additionally, we provide an in-depth comparison of leading Smart Cities, identifying best practices and areas for improvement.
